In June 2018, I purchased an appliance at this merchant. The sales person I dealt with added a delivery fee into the monthly instalments amount without disclosing to me that a delivery service is being charged to me! I only saw the invoice with the delivery charge breakdown when the sales person left me at the cashier and the lady handed me the paper. I politely objected to the delivery charge, as the sales person never mentioned it. I would not have been an obvious charge to me, as all other appliance merchants I have dealt with in the past do not charge a delivery fee. The sales person was called back by the cashier and immediately became very upset and rude to the point of verbal abuse! He told me in a very arrogant tone "If you're not happy just cancel the whole thing" and "you agreed to the total price". I had agreed to the total although the monthly was about $2 higher than I had quickly calculated and I had assumed it was just a calculation error on my part. I did not know that I was paying for an undisclosed service charge. I purchased the appliance and paid the delivery fee since I wanted the merchandise and it was the only one at that price (floor model). The delivery service was excellent! Very courteous and friendly. This is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars. After the delivery, I received and automated phone call to rate the in-store service and the delivery. I gave a good rating to the delivery but a poor one to the in-store service. The message stated I would receive a call regarding the poor in-store service rating. I never received any follow-up!I contacted the "Quebec office de la protection du consommateur" and found out that indeed, the sales person's behaviour was illegal in not disclosing the breakdown of price and omitting important information (articles 224 and 228 of prohibited business practices). I am not satisfied with my experience shopping with this merchant.
I recently bought washer,dryer,hood,range,fridge and dishwasher with them. Antony Masse was a very knowledgeable sales man. If you want to get good information on appliances, he is the guy to talk to. few things I don't like:1. The washer and dryer doesn't include hose. I wish they can tell you these kind of thing before hand, I only found that out when I received the washer&dryer and frankly for a premium store like this, I expect I do not need go to reno and buy a hose myself.2. I was promised for price match and there were few times where I had to be really aggressive on them to match a price that I found on other places.I have one suggestion for the store. Be honest with your customers. I have the impression that they are not honest. Mainly because they don't tell you stuff like the hose is not included before hand and other things. I have to do research myself and be proactive and ask them. I don't feel like I'm dealing with someone who I can trust and rely on.
Nice furniture and decor. However, to pay for an item it takes forever. Would not be back based on that!
Beware of this store! Avoid at all costs! Agree with prior reviews that after-sales service is terrible! Sat here and wasted an afternoon for a delivery and driver claims that he came and tried to deliver but never did. Shipping department suggested I went to the bathroom and missed the call. Best part my girlfriend spoke to them at 4pm and they said they would be there in 30 minutes. We call back later and they say that they attempted delivery at 330pm. Hopefully no one else has to experience what I just did! I wish I could give this review ZERO stars.
we hada problem with a wine cellar, on guarantee. we went to the store in April, and were advised our cellar would arrive within the next week. We had to follow up with the store many times only to be told that we would be advised and that we should not call. My last last call was on July 10 and it turns out out they had many in stock, however I never received a call. Spoke with the sales rep, Patrick, to organize a delivery, and he advised he could not do this for the next day, however Thursday and Friday would be fine, I told him this would work as I am on vacation. He scheduled me for Thursday so I waited until 10h30 and called the delivery only to find it was for the following Thursday, when I am back at work. Very dissatisfied with the after service and in particular with the sales rep, who seems very disinterested, despite the fact that we purchased all our kitchen appliances from him a year and a half ago.
