Im shocked!!!! plz Read all!! Me and my niece wanted to buy new fishes and plants for our aquariums, first it was super hard to get some help and when we finally got help the man suited to help us was saying we were mistreating fish by over crowding our aquarium. He didnt even ask about our aquariums presuming we were buying for only one small aquarium. Then, when we were trying to get help again, trying to choose our plants. This same guy was busy talking a guy and his dog on the main floor. After many try to get his attention my niece went to interrupt their conversation to get some help. Arriving to the aquatic plants section, my niece pointed that there was a dead fish without a tail floating. He grabbed the fish with his hand and in hesitation, not knowing what to do with it, he threw it on the floor and tried to kick it out of the way. The fish barely moves being solidly stock on the floor. He served us with those same hands, not washed! My niece and I were in shocked with the disrespect their own employee treated the fish! He finally picked it up after seeing our reaction from his actions. This is outrageous!!!
Went to get some substrate for an AXOLOTL tank, done my research and wanted to get sand, the clerk (Brianne) made me buy rocks, conditionner and bacteria, and gave me his name card super fast so he could get comissionned or something once I checked out. After setting up my tank, realized that rocks are actually very dangerous to axolotls as they can die from ingesting them by mistake. I'm so upset at this place for giving such bad advices, which would have put the life of my pet in danger. Not only did I spent 30$ on a bag of rocks, but now I have to re-set my whole tank and wasted money, time, supplies. Worst place ever, never going back to a Safari chain. Do not trust what the clerks tell you, do you own research, stick to it and trust your judgment. Worst fu&%cking experience ever.
I'll give it 3 stars but even that Im not sure. Im not happy with the quality of fish I purchased nor the advice that was given to me. You're better off going to the Dix30 location.
The one at Dix30 is much better and bigger than the one on Tashereau. The assistant Manager Pascale was so rude, unprofessional condescending, and no professional. No eye contact, no hello. The customer service suck we have the impression that she hates her job or she is racist. She lost almost a 600$ for the store by her attitude. The staffs are much nicer and they seem not shocked by her rude reaction at all because, they are fed up by her inappropriate attitude. The Head Office should take action ASAP because of her Pascale- they are losing business. I dont recommend going there.
They don't have a big variety of items but you can always order it. They are helpful if you need any assistance. Wheelchair can only stay on the mail floor
